According to Jordan News Agency, the MED9 leaders acknowledged Jordan’s pivotal role as a stable partner in the Middle East and the broader Mediterranean region. The statement emphasized the collective commitment of Jordan and the MED9 countries to promote peace, security, and stability. The leaders also expressed support for US President Donald Trump’s efforts to end the conflict and rebuild Gaza, while opposing the annexation of the West Bank.
The joint statement commended the diplomatic efforts that led to the Sharm El Sheikh Summit for Peace and the signing of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza. It stressed the importance of implementing the ceasefire agreement’s initial phase, which includes the release of hostages and detainees.
