Jordan Industrial Producer Prices See 0.70% Decline in Initial 11 Months of 2025

Amman: The Department of Statistics has released its monthly report on the general industrial producer price index, revealing a decline in industrial producer prices by 0.70% during the first 11 months of 2025 compared with the same period in 2024.

According to Jordan News Agency, the report also highlighted a monthly decrease of 0.69% in the general industrial producer price index for November 2025 compared with the same month in 2024, although it registered a 0.57% rise compared with October 2025. The base year for these calculations is set at 2018, with an index value of 100.

The report detailed that the industrial producer price index stood at 106.46 points for the first 11 months of 2025, down from 107.20 points for the same duration in 2024. In November 2025, the index was 105.80, compared with 106.54 in November 2024. Furthermore, the November 2025 index showed an increase from the October 2025 figure of 105.20.

A closer look at the cumulative index for the first 11 months of 2025 against the same period in 2024 indicates a 0.95% reduction in manufacturing industries' prices, which hold a relative importance of 88.74%. Conversely, prices in extractive industries rose by 2.19%, with a relative importance of 5.36%, and electricity prices experienced a 0.59% increase, holding a relative importance of 5.91%.

On a commodity level, the report mentioned that the decline in the November 2025 index compared with November 2024 was primarily due to a 1.03% decrease in manufacturing industries' prices and a 2.43% drop in electricity prices. However, extractive industries prices increased by 7.16%.

Month-on-month, the general industrial producer price index for November 2025 saw an uptick from October 2025, driven by a 0.40% increase in manufacturing industries' prices and a 4.34% rise in extractive industries' prices, despite a 0.27% fall in electricity prices.
