Jordan-EU Investment Conference to Showcase Over $15 Billion in Opportunities

Amman:The government has announced the upcoming Jordan-EU Investment Conference 2026, slated for November 19, which will showcase more than 40 high-value investment opportunities valued at over USD15 billion.

According to Jordan News Agency, Government Communications Minister Mohammad Momani and Investment Minister Tareq Abu Ghazaleh detailed the conference's primary pillars during a press briefing. The event, which will take place at the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Center at the Dead Sea, will be held under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II, with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen attending. Specialized sectoral events are scheduled for November 18.

Momani highlighted the conference as a testament to Jordan's strategic partnership with the EU and a vote of confidence in the Kingdom's business environment. He emphasized the media's crucial role in illustrating the economic impact of these investments on job creation and skills development. Coordination with journalists will be managed by the Ministries of Government Communications and Investment to ensure comprehensive coverage.

Abu Ghazaleh stated that the conference seeks to turn strategic ties into long-term investment partnerships, reinforcing Jordan's position as a stable regional investment hub. The event is expected to attract over 700 investors, decision-makers, and corporate leaders who will negotiate commercial and financing details directly.

The conference will focus on five priority sectors technology, energy, high-value industries, logistics and infrastructure, and water security. Abu Ghazaleh noted that the event would highlight Jordanian talent, particularly young professionals skilled in technology and project delivery. He emphasized human capital as a key foundation for successful investments and sustainable growth, aiming to attract high-quality investments that create jobs, transfer knowledge, and enhance Jordanian product competitiveness.

Efforts will continue post-conference to advance investment opportunities towards negotiations, financing, and implementation. The strategic partnership is supported by a 3 billion euro EU financial package for 2025-2027, which includes 1.4 billion euros in additional investments alongside concessional loans and grants.
