According to Jordan News Agency, Chaired by Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Saleh Kharabsheh, the committee expanded eligibility criteria for electricity connections, allowing a broader range of residential communities and economic activities to benefit from the program.

Hisham Momani, Director of the Electricity and Rural Electrification Directorate at the ministry, detailed the allocation of JD185,000 for residential properties located both inside and outside municipal zoning boundaries. Support for livestock farms, including poultry, cattle, sheep, and fish farms located outside these boundaries, totaled JD24,000. Additionally, JD108,000 was allocated to farms with artesian wells.

Government-sector projects received JD48,000 for electricity connections, while JD11,000 was approved for lighting roads leading to cemeteries.

The committee also sanctioned grid-connected solar systems for 52 homes belonging to low-income families and National Aid Fund beneficiaries, aiming to reduce their monthly electricity costs. Furthermore, JD29,000 was allocated to enhance transformer capacity at stations established through the Fils Al-Reef program over the past decade, addressing issues of weak electricity supply and power losses.

Momani emphasized that applications for electricity connections to homes and facilities will continue to be processed following Cabinet-approved criteria and the committee's decisions.
