Jordan and Friendly Nations Condemn Israeli Assault on Humanitarian Flotilla

Amman: The Ministers of Foreign Affairs from several countries, including the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Republic of Trkiye, Federative Republic of Brazil, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Kingdom of Spain, Malaysia, People's Republic of Bangladesh, Republic of Colombia, Republic of Maldives, Republic of South Africa, and State of Libya, have expressed strong condemnation of the Israeli assault on the Global Sumud Flotilla. This initiative is recognized as a peaceful civilian humanitarian effort aimed at highlighting the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

According to Jordan News Agency, a joint statement from these nations emphasized that the Israeli attacks on the vessels and the detention of humanitarian activists in international waters are clear violations of international law and international humanitarian principles. The ministers voiced their concern for the safety of the civilian activists involved and urged Israeli authorities to secure their immediate release.

The statement further called upon the international community to uphold their moral and legal responsibilities, emphasizing the need to protect civilians and enforce accountability for the violations committed.
