Ramallah: Under the supervision of the Jordanian and Indian embassies in Palestine, the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) delivered a shipment of Indian-donated medical aid to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
According to Jordan News Agency, Palestinian Health Minister Majed Abu Ramadan announced that the medical aid includes essential medications such as cancer treatments, antibiotics, painkillers, asthma drugs, as well as supplies for anesthesia, operating rooms, emergency wards, sterilizers, and equipment for kidney dialysis patients.
During the handover ceremony, Health Minister Abu Ramadan highlighted that India’s support extends beyond medical aid, encompassing strategic projects. He specifically mentioned the planned construction of an Indian hospital in the Jenin governorate, which is backed by funding from the Indian government. The minister also expressed appreciation for Jordan’s continued support of the Palestinian health sector, emphasizing JHCO’s role in transporting and delivering the aid to the ministry’s warehouses in Nablus governorate.
Jordan’s Ambassador to Palestine, Issam Bdour, underscored the Kingdom’s role in facilitating the entry of aid through the King Hussein Bridge. India’s Ambassador to Palestine, Mahima Sikand, affirmed that this shipment represents an ongoing commitment from India to support Palestine and alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people.
