Jordan Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Director-General Nizar Mhaidat Tuesday reiterated his institution’s support of the national pharmaceutical industry.
He said during a visit to Pharma International Company (PIC), a subsidiary of Axantia group, that the JFDA is keen on promoting the national pharmaceutical industry to expand the production of new varieties that meet local market needs, enhance exports and open new foreign markets, according to a press release.
Mhaidat said the JFDA made a series of visits to check on hindrances, if any, facing pharmaceutical production and take the necessary measures to ensure the development and expansion of “this strategic sector.”
CEO of the company, Abdel Monem Al-Ali commended the JFDA’s support of the national pharmaceutical industry and its efforts to promote communication and build strategic partnerships with the sector.
He gave a briefing on his company’s variety of products, capacity and stages of development and future expansion plans.
