Dr. Mhidat also noted that the MoU includes provisions for enhancing cooperation in monitoring and verifying the conformity of medicines and medical supplies with specifications and standards, as well as the drug registration process. The agreement outlines plans for studying bioequivalence and enhancing cooperation in expanding and developing testing services and procedures. It also includes training for SBDMA workers on laboratory tests for medical supplies and cosmetics.
Meanwhile, Dr. Abbas expressed optimism about increasing the presence of Jordanian medicine in the Yemeni market, citing its good reputation. He aims to leverage the pioneering Jordanian experience in establishing the national pharmaceutical industry. Abbas reiterated the Yemeni side’s intention to benefit from JFDA’s expertise and attract Jordanian pharmaceutical companies to open branches in Yemen.
