Israeli police arrest 150 Arabs in Negev

Israeli police Sunday arrested 150 Arab citizens, mostly minors and students, in the Negev in southern Israel, according to the High Follow-Up Committee for Arab Citizens of Israel (HFC).

The Committee that represents Arab citizens of Israel said the Israeli police summoned several Arabs to be interrogated in the Israeli intelligence HQ over the latest demonstrations protesting the Israeli authorities and settlers’ violations against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank,Gaza and Jerusalem.

They also protested the Israeli bias with and protection of Jewish citizens while they attack Arabs.

The HFC stated that several detainees have been released under restrictive conditions, chief of which is staying away from Negev for 14 days. However, the Israeli authorities plan to prosecute other 25 detainees who were arrested in an inhumane manner.
