Petra: The Chief Commissioner of the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority (PDTRA), Fares Breizat, on Tuesday received a delegation of Indian social media influencers visiting the Kingdom on a familiarization trip organized by Royal Jordanian Airlines in collaboration with PDTRA as part of the “Discover Jordan” campaign. The initiative aims to promote the Kingdom, and Petra in particular, as a global tourist destination.
According to Jordan News Agency, PDTRA facilitated the visit by providing necessary support, including filming services and logistical assistance for content creators, to help boost marketing and promotional efforts.
The delegation includes three of India’s top digital content creators Ash Ambawat, Kajal Kothari, and Samaira Paul who command large followings on various social media platforms.
During their stay, the influencers will produce a variety of digital content, including photos, short-form videos (Reels), and stories to promote wedding tourism, film production, and high-end luxury travel.
The content will be shared via their personal channels, as well as Royal Jordanian’s platforms and PDTRA’s social media accounts, under a targeted digital marketing strategy focused on the Indian market particularly young travelers seeking unique tourism experiences.
Breizat emphasized the authority’s commitment to leveraging digital influence to promote Petra across global markets, especially in India. He highlighted the importance of a digital marketing approach centered around promotional campaigns and social media influencers to bolster Petra’s status as a premier global destination.
This initiative aims to enhance Petra’s digital presence on international platforms and increase its appeal among Indian tourists.
