IATA: Royal Jordanian to implement IATA Travel Pass

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced intention of Royal Jordanian (RJ) to implement the IATA Travel Pass “gradually.”

in a press statement on Wednesday, IATA Director General, Willie Walsh, said the IATA Travel Pass is a health certificate that will enter the operational phase after months of testing, adding that the digital wallet solution has “proven its effectiveness in managing and organizing traveler health data,” a measure required by governments worldwide.

The largest airlines in the world will soon provide the IATA Travel Pass service for travelers, an application that has proven its safety for travelers who will check their flight requirements, he said, stressing that the step will reduce congestion facing airlines and airports.

IATA has launched an application via mobile phones called (IATA Travel Pass) that highlights a package of travel requirements, which help travelers present their verified travel health credentials (vaccine or test certificates) to meet COVID-19 entry restrictions, while more than 52 countries worldwide have operated the new e-service, according to an IATA statement.
