House Speaker Condemns Netanyahu’s ‘Greater Israel’ Remarks

Amman: Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament Ahmad Safadi on Wednesday condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s statements on the so-called “Greater Israel vision,” describing them as a blatant threat to state sovereignty, a flagrant violation of international law, and part of an extremist, aggressive agenda pushing the region toward the brink and threatening international peace and security.

According to Jordan News Agency, in a statement on behalf of the Lower House, Safadi said Netanyahu’s remarks are part of a destructive incitement agenda aimed at fueling conflict and violence at a time when regional populations need peace, justice, and dignity. He added that the statements represent a desperate attempt to deflect rising international anger over atrocities committed against the people of Gaza, amid growing global awareness of unprecedented violations and increasing recognition of the Palestinian state, signaling rejection of extremist agendas in Israel.
