Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament Abdul Karim Dughmi on Wednesday received Azerbaijan’s ambassador Eldar Salimov to discuss enhancing bilateral ties in various spheres.
According to a lower house statement, Dughmi stressed the importance of the Hashemite custodianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, highlighting His Majesty King Abdullah’s stance toward the Palestinian cause and his efforts to achieve security and stability in the Middle East region.
The Azeri envoy commended the central role of Jordan in bringing about just and comprehensive peace in the region, underscoring his country’s interest in advancing ties with Jordan to serve the two nations.
