House committee meets Bahraini envoy over increasing trade, investment cooperation

Member of Jordanian Parliamentary Fraternity Committee with the Arab Gulf states and Yemen, MP Diab Masaeed, stressed the importance of unifying pan-Arab legislations, which is a key point to make Arab countries a “great” economic power.

 

During the committee’s meeting on Wednesday, with Bahraini Ambassador to Jordan, Ahmed bin Yousef Ruwai’i, and president and members of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), Masaeed called on strengthening relations between the two countries, especially in trade areas.

 

The lawmaker also hailed “deep-rooted, brotherly” Jordanian-Bahraini relations, under the two kingdoms’ leaderships.

 

Meanwhile, the committee’s members called on Bahraini businesspeople to invest in Jordan, which provides provides appropriate investment environment.

 

The MPs also referred to the recent endorsement of Jordan’s new investment law aimed to improve investor climate, Jordan’s security and the two kingdoms’ commonalities, which would enhance trade and economic relations.

 

On the other hand, MPs said Palestinian cause is Jordan’s first central issue, adding that His Majesty King Abdullah II has restored its momentum in all international and regional forums.

 

For his part, the envoy said efforts are underway to increase Bahraini investments in the Kingdom and praised facilitations offered to Bahraini investors, commending the “deep-rooted” relations between the two brotherly countries.

 

BCCI President, Samir Abdullah Nass, said Jordan enjoys multiple investment priviliges that encourage flow of Bahraini investments.

 

Calling on strengthening bilateral relations and exchanging expertise between the two countries’ industry and commerce chambers, he referred to multiple incentives granted to investors that need media promotion.
