Health Minister Attends Meetings of GCC Health Ministers in Muscat

The Minister of Health, Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel, attended the 86th meeting of the Council of Health Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries as well as the ninth meeting of the GCC Health Ministers’ Committee today.

In an effort to strengthen collaboration in healthcare among GCC nations, the GCC’s Health Ministers Committee convened their ninth meeting. The objective of this meeting was to collectively develop the health sector system in GCC nations to keep pace with rapid advancements in technology, such as the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence, and to deliver healthcare services that exemplify excellence.

Significant decisions were reached during the summit, covering a wide range of health-related themes and challenges impacting the GCC countries and their citizens.

Furthermore, the 86th meeting of the Council of GCC Health Ministers and Yemen took place. This meeting addressed various health-related topics and areas, including the approval of the Gulf Centre for Disease Prevention and Control’s plan for 2024, as well as the collaborative working mechanism with the ministries of health of Yemen and the Cooperation Council countries.
