Amman: The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced on Sunday the availability of full scholarships for Jordanian students, offered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan, as part of the “Aliyev” International Scholarship Program for the 2024/2025 academic year.
According to Jordan News Agency, the scholarships cover bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree programs, in addition to a residency program in medicine. The scholarship covers tuition fees, a monthly stipend, international flight tickets, accommodation and registration costs, health insurance, visas, and temporary residence permits.
The ministry outlined the eligibility requirements, which include an age limit of 35 for bachelor’s and general medicine programs, 40 for master’s and residency programs in medicine, and 45 for doctoral programs. Applicants must also meet the following English language proficiency requirements: a TOEFL score of 40 or an IELTS score of 5 for bachelor’s applicants and a TOEFL score of 50 or an IELTS score of 5.5 for graduate applicants.
The ministry urged those interested in applying to fill out the application form, attach the required documents, and submit it in person to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s Department of Overseas Students and Cultural Agreements. The application period begins on April 6, 2025, and ends at 3:00 PM on Thursday, April 17, 2025.
The ministry further stated that after the candidates are nominated, they must apply through the Azerbaijan Central Admission Service portal (SIACAS) at [portal.edu.az](http://portal.edu.az) between June 1 and June 15, 2025.
Additionally, the ministry noted that applicants must have a high school average of at least 90% to apply for the bachelor’s program in human medicine and dentistry. For the master’s program, applicants must have a “good” grade in their bachelor’s degree, and for the doctoral program, a “good” grade in the master’s degree is required.
The ministry also reminded students to adhere to the 2023 guidelines for the equivalency of non-Jordanian certificates.
