Hashemite University Partners with University of Hong Kong for Dental Education Enhancement

Amman: The Faculty of Dentistry at the Hashemite University (HU) has signed an academic cooperation agreement with the University of Hong Kong’s dental school, which is recognized as one of the world’s leading institutions in dental education.

According to Jordan News Agency, the agreement aims to strengthen the joint academic partnership by transferring expertise in education, research, and clinical training. The collaboration will involve implementing mutual scientific programs and providing opportunities for student and faculty exchanges to advance medical and specialized dental education.

HU representative Khaled Hiyari stated that the agreement represents a significant step in engaging with leading global higher education institutions. Hiyari emphasized that the cooperation reflects the university’s commitment to developing an academic and research environment that meets international standards, offering students and faculty learning and training opportunities aligned with the latest global advancements.

Ziad Duwairi, Dean of the HU Faculty of Dentistry, highlighted the importance of the agreement in driving the college’s progress toward excellence and innovation. Duwairi noted that the partnership with the University of Hong Kong will help develop curricula and enhance the clinical and research skills of students and faculty, particularly in innovation and digital technologies, which will impact the quality of education and its outcomes.

Acting Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Hong Kong, Lijian Jin, affirmed the college’s belief in the value of global partnerships to exchange knowledge and expertise. He noted that the agreement will facilitate joint academic projects that will prepare a generation of dentists equipped with the latest skills and scientific knowledge.
