Irbid: The Directorate of Agriculture in Koura District announced the availability of 849 temporary job opportunities as part of the Green Jobs project within the national afforestation program. This initiative is a collaborative effort by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Amman-based Innovation Threads Consulting Agency, funded by the German Development Bank (KfW).
According to Jordan News Agency, Koura Agriculture Director Salem Khasawneh stated that the temporary jobs will be executed over seven phases, with a maximum employment period of three months in the Sartaba Al-Tantour area near the Barqash olive press. The application window is set from Sunday, June 21 to June 25. The job allocation includes 50% for Jordanians and 50% for Syrian refugees, with a minimum of 35% reserved for women and 5% for persons with disabilities.
Khasawneh encouraged women, persons with disabilities, and beneficiaries of the National Aid Fund to apply and submit the necessary documents. The employment is restricted to residents of Koura District, Tabaqet Fahel, and Al-Masharea. The age limit for applicants is set between 18-53 years for females and 18-57 years for males, with the condition that applicants must not be current pensioners.
