Governor of Sa’ada inaugurates general basic certificate exams

The Governor of Sa’ada, Muhammad Awad, and with him the two deputy governors, Saleh Oqab and Muhammad Al-Badani, inaugurated the general basic certificate exams for the academic year 1444 AH.

The governor, Awad, and the two agents, along with the deputy director of the education office in the governorate, Ahmed Hajib, and the deputy head of the subcommittee for examinations, Ahmed Sweidan, were briefed on the progress of the tests in Al-Tawhid School for Boys and Al-Qas for Girls in Sa’ada District.

During the inauguration, the governor of Sa’ada referred to the momentum and great turnout the students are witnessing in the governorate, despite the destruction of the educational infrastructure by the aggression for more than eight years, stressing that it indicates determination and steadfastness.

He urged the students to work hard and study in order to achieve success with distinction, pointing out that the basic certificate exams determine the level of the student for his transition to the secondary stage.

While the agent Aqab appreciated the efforts of the educational sector and its steadfastness throughout the academic year, leading to the performance of the final exams.

For his part, a member of the sub-committee, Director of Examinations Department, Hussein Al-Ajl, explained that 6,560 male and female students applied for the exams, distributed among 72 test centers.
