GDP grew 2.7 per cent in Q3 of 2021-DoS

Jordan’s gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 2.7 per cent at fixed market prices in the third quarter of 2021, compared with the same period of 2020, according to the Department of Statistics (DoS).

The DoS, in its quarterly report released on Thursday, said preliminary estimates showed that Jordan’s economic sectors grew during the third quarter of 2021, compared to the same period 2020.

The extractive industries witnessed the highest growth by 9.7 per cent, followed by the construction sector by 3.9%, then came the transportation, storage and telecom sector with 3.5%, and finally was the sector of manufacturing industries with 3.2%, according to the DoS figures.
