GCC Secretary-General Stresses Significance of Enhancing Strategic Partnership between Council’s Countries, Jordan

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, has emphasized the significance of strengthening the depth of the strategic partnership between the GCC and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in order to serve common interests.

Albudaiwi made the remarks during his meeting with Dr. Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan today in the Jordanian capital, Amman.

The Secretary-General stated that this meeting comes within the framework of the exceptional strategic ties and partnership with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, adding that it is also an affirmation of the decision of the Supreme Council of the leaders of the GCC states in its 32nd session regarding the establishment of a strategic partnership between the Council member states and The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Furthermore, the Secretary-General pointed out that the meeting cast light on the positive results of this strategic partnership which resulted in establishing cooperation in several areas, contributing to accomplishing the common interests of both parties.

He added that the meeting followed up on the latest developments of the joint technical committees between the two sides, whose work will be completed by the end of 2025, and that the council is looking forward to more work and cooperation between the GCC countries and The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
