GCC Secretary General Offers Condolences to the Iranian Acting Foreign Minister Over Passing of President Dr. Ebrahim Raisi and his Accompanying Delegation


Riyadh: The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi offered condolences to the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ali Bagheri, during a telephone call today, on the passing of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, President Dr. Ebrahim Raisi, and the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and their accompanying delegation following the unfortunate accident of the crash of their plane.

During the call, Albudaiwi also emphasized the solidarity and support of the GCC for the government and people of Iran in these difficult circumstances. He reiterated his sincere condolences and deep sympathy to the victims’ families. Additionally, he expressed hope that Iran would overcome this great calamity and that the Almighty would bless the Iranian people with security, safety, and prosperity.
