Cybercrime Unit Warns Against Fake Links to Pay Traffic Fines

Amman: The Public Security Directorate's Cybercrime Unit urged the public on Saturday not to respond to fake messages from sources that mimic legitimate websites asking to quickly pay traffic fines to avoid doubling the fine or incurring additional penalties.

According to Jordan News Agency, the unit urged people not to take these messages under any circumstances, to consider them a phishing scam, and to delete them from their phones to avoid falling victim to cyber fraud. It advised using known official websites to complete such transactions.
