Gaza Health Ministry Reports 61 Fatalities from Israeli Fire, War Death Toll Reaches 62,622

Gaza: Hospitals across the Gaza Strip received sixty-one dead bodies and 308 wounded people from the ongoing Israeli war on the enclave in the last 24 hours, the Gaza Health Ministry said on Saturday.

According to Jordan News Agency, this development brings the total death toll from Israel’s aggression, which began on October 7, 2023, to 62,622. The total number of injuries has climbed to 157,673. The ministry’s latest update noted that many victims were trapped under the rubble of targeted buildings and on roads, making them inaccessible to ambulances and rescue teams.

Among the recent casualties were 16 individuals who were shot dead and 111 injured at food distribution sites. This raised the number of “bread martyrs” to 2,076, with the wounded surpassing 15,308. The ministry also reported that Gaza hospitals recorded 8 new fatalities from starvation and malnutrition, including 2 children, increasing the total number to 281, with 114 of them being children.
