Gaza Health Ministry condemns closure of Beit Hanoun crossing

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip condemned the Israeli occupation forces’ closure of Beit Hanoun crossing on the northern border with the Gaza Strip, and the prevention of sick individuals from crossing over for treatment.

In a press statement, on Tuesday, the ministry warned that the closure of the crossing will have serious repercussions on the health of patients, who have medical referrals and approved appointments in hospitals in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the occupied interior.

This occupation behavior, it said, contravenes all international conventions that affirm the right of patients to travel for treatment. The ministry also urged all concerned institutions and authorities to pressure the Israeli occupation to ensure that the crossing is opened.
