Foreign Ministry Announces Jordan to Host Meeting of Syria’s Neighboring Countries

Amman: Next Sunday, Syria’s neighbors will gather in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to discuss practical strategies for collaborating in the fight against terrorism, the smuggling of weapons and drugs, and other shared issues, according to the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs.

According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting will explore ways to support the Syrian people in their efforts to rebuild their country on the foundations that guarantee its unity, sovereignty, security, and stability, rid it of terrorism, ensure conditions for the voluntary return of refugees, and preserve the rights of all its people. Ambassador Sufian Qudah, the ministry’s official spokesperson, emphasized the importance of these discussions.

The meeting will include the heads of intelligence agencies, chiefs of staff, foreign ministers, and defense ministers from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Republic of Turkey, the Syrian Arab Republic, the Republic of Iraq, and the Lebanese Republic, according to Ambassador Qudah.
