The meeting reflected the strength of bilateral relations and the common will to move forward with fruitful practical cooperation that will positively reflect on the two brotherly countries, and increase coordination so that the upcoming Arab summit would be an effective station for enhancing joint Arab action, sending a positive message to the Arab peoples that says Arab countries continue to work together to serve Arab causes and interests.”
On Saturday evening, Safadi and Lamamra held talks that focused on mechanisms for activating bilateral cooperation and strengthening relations in various fields.
They agreed to prepare for holding meetings of the joint committee, last meeting of which was held in Algeria in 2018, sign a number of memoranda of understanding and agreements, and upgrade other agreements that will contribute to increasing economic, commercial, tourism, educational and medical cooperation.
The two ministers discussed resuming flights between the two countries and facilitating granting of entry visas, stressing the importance of this step in increasing communication and trade and economic exchange and linking the private sector in the Kingdom and Algeria.
They also stressed the importance of providing the legislative environment and frameworks that facilitate and encourage the cooperation of the private sector in the two countries.
During the meeting, they discussed preparations for the upcoming Arab summit hosted by Algeria, underlining the importance of activating joint Arab action to face common challenges and serve Arab causes.
