Fayez urges improved tourism services in Golden Triangle

Aqaba, Newly-appointed President of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) Nayef Fayez, Saturday called for lifting all barriers to bolster the tourism sector and partner with local communities to raise the level of services to local and foreign visitors, especially in the Golden Triangle, which extends between the desert of Wadi Rum, Aqaba and Petra.

Fayez, during a tour of the Wadi Rum Visitor Center, asked Rum National Nature Reserve staff to promptly address all complaints to promote Wadi Rum as a key tourist destination.

Fayez checked on the workflow and services at the Wadi Al-Yatam Customs Center and the movement of trucks and goods into and out of the port city of Aqaba, calling for better services and facilities for travelers.

He called on the ASEZA operations room and was briefed on the process of responding to complaints with the concerned authorities in Aqaba.
