Fayez calls on increasing Saudi investments in Jordan

Amman: Senate President, Faisal Fayez, on Wednesday called on increasing volume of Saudi investments in Jordan, especially in the sectors of mining, water, energy, public transportation, and medical tourism lauding the existing Saudi investments in the kingdom.

Meeting with chairperson and members of Saudi-Jordanian Parliamentary Friendship Committee in Saudi Shura Council (SSC), Fayez said Jordanian-Saudi relations are “solid and deep-rooted,” based on mutual respect and joint coordination on issues of common concern.

Fayez also referred to the continued coordination and consultation between the two kingdoms’ leaderships and their efforts to further enhance brotherly relations to serve common interests and just Arab causes.

In addition, he stressed the importance of strengthening the existing bilateral relations in various fields, in a bid to achieve “broader” cooperation horizons to serve common interests.

Continuing: “Jordan and in cooperation with Saudi Arabia will spare no effort to restore the region’s security and stability.”

Saudi Arabia, under directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has maintained continuous assistance to Jordan, and always supported Jordan, especially in light of the current circumstances, to enable Amman overcome its challenges, he pointed out.

In this regard, he cited the region’s conditions, Covid-19 pandemic and the Russian-Ukrainian war repercussions on the prices of energy and food commodities.
