Escalating clashes in West Bank, Jerusalem lead to Palestinian injuries, detentions


Ramallah: Confrontations erupted on Sunday between Palestinians and Israeli occupation forces, leading to injuries and arrests in multiple areas across the West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem.

In a statement, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society said that the occupation forces initiated a widespread campaign involving raids, incursions, and arrests in various locations within the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem. The clashes resulted in numerous Palestinians sustaining injuries from live bullets and experiencing gas suffocation. Additionally, 28 individuals were taken into custody.

The detained individuals were subsequently handed over to the Occupation security services for further investigation, as they were suspected of involvement and participation in armed resistance against extremist settlers and the Israeli forces.

During the raids, extensive damage was inflicted upon numerous homes in the West Bank and Jerusalem by the occupation forces. Moreover, residents were subjected to prolonged field investi
gations following their hours-long detention.
