Egypt says worried at US-UK airstrikes on Yemen

Egypt is worried about the escalated military operations in the Red Sea and the American-British airstrikes on different areas inside Yemen, the Egyptian foreign ministry said in a statement on Saturday. The statement called for international and regional efforts needed to de-escalate tensions and instability in the region, including shipping security in the Red Sea. The increasingly dangerous developments seen south the Red Sea and Yemen obviously indicates the risks - previously warned by Egypt - of wider range of regional conflict following the Israeli assaults on Gaza Strip, the statement said. Egypt underlines the need for inclusive ceasefire and an end to the ongoing war against Palestinian civilians to spare the region the trouble of further factors of instability, conflicts and threats to international peace and security.
