Economic Committee Acting Head chairs expanded meeting to discuss development of real estate sector

At Industry and Trade Ministry , Acting Chairman of the Supreme Economic Committee, Hashim Ismail, chaired an expanded meeting that included Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Finance, Dr. Rashid Abu Lahoum, Minister of Industry, Muhammad Al-Mutahhar, President of the Chamber of Commerce ,Industry in the capital secretariat, Ali Al-Hadi, and representatives of companies and real estate institutions to discuss the reality of the real estate sector in Yemen and ways to develop it.

During the meeting, the Acting Chairman of the Economic Committee stressed the interest of the state leadership in developing the real estate sector, which is a major driver of the economic wheel, and its keenness to address the problems and obstacles facing investors in this sector.

For his part, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Finance indicated that the state leadership senses the importance of developing the real estate sector, providing all support and facilities to it, and creating controls to protect investors and workers in this sector.

Abu Lahoum pointed out that a number of proposals will be studied to provide investment incentives for workers in the real estate industry, and to simplify the procedures for buying and selling real estate.

Al-Mutahhar stressed the state’s keenness to create an encouraging investment environment and support investors in the real estate sector, which is considered one of the most important sectors that provide job opportunities and contribute to achieving economic growth. He pointed out that the challenges facing Yemen necessitate attention to the real estate sector so that it constitutes an important tributary to the national economy.

They stressed that continuous coordination between the public and private sectors will contribute to achieving common goals, bringing goodness , prosperity to Yemen and its people.
