Discussing aspects related to confronting flood damage in Sa’ada

A meeting in Sa’ada province, headed by the procince’s deputy, Engineer Ibrahim Al-Nimri, discussed aspects related to developing a mechanism for emergency interventions to confront flood damage.

In the meeting, which included the offices of Works, Health, Historic Cities, Agriculture, the Red Crescent, the General Authority for Endowments , Information, and the Cleaning and Improvement Fund, Undersecretary Al-Nimri stressed the importance of finding a mechanism to confront the damage caused by floods, especially in the rainy season.

He directed a committee to go to the province center in the field to identify the places that need interventions and open water drains, as well as inventory the houses that are at risk of collapse.

He stressed the need for concerned authorities to submit an action plan to confront flood damage, noting the need to provide support for civil defense to play its role in this aspect.

The meeting stressed the necessity of preparing the necessary machinery and equipment to confront
any emergency, pointing to the importance of raising awareness of the dangers of floods.
