Depression forecast to bring cold, rainy conditions today

A new depression will begin affecting the Kingdom, on Friday, bringing cold weather conditions and intermittent rainfall in some parts of the Kingdom, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.

Winds will be southeasterly moderate, picking up at times and stirring dust in the Badia regions, the JMD added.

The depression, centered over Egypt, will be accompanied by heavy rainfall, forming flash floods in low-lying areas.

The JMD warned of slippery roads in areas experiencing rain, and of poor visibility due to dust in the Badia regions.

Temperatures in the capital Amman will range between a high of 13 degrees Celsius and a low of 4.

Highs in the port city of Aqaba will hike up to 22 degrees, sliding to 12 at night.
