Crown Prince and Bahrain Monarch Discuss Enhancing Coordination in Response to Regional Developments

Bahrain: His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II and King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, during a meeting on Monday, discussed ways to strengthen cooperation and coordination regarding regional developments.

According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting, held in Bahrain, saw the Crown Prince conveying His Majesty King Abdullah II's regards to King Hamad, who reciprocated with his greetings and best wishes. The discussions, attended by Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the prime minister of Bahrain, focused on the need to intensify efforts to sustain the ceasefire, restore stability, and contain conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy in the region.

His Royal Highness lauded Bahrain's role in serving Arab causes and enhancing joint Arab action during its presidency of the United Nations Security Council for the month of April. He reiterated Jordan's steadfast support for Bahrain and the Gulf states, emphasizing the importance of the security of Arab Gulf states to the region's overall stability.

King Hamad expressed pride in the strong relations between Bahrain and Jordan, highlighting their continuous growth and development. He emphasized his commitment to further strengthening ties for mutual benefit and appreciated His Majesty's efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation across various fields. King Hamad also acknowledged Jordan's steadfast support and solidarity with Bahrain during the recent Iranian aggression.

The meeting included key Bahraini officials such as Sheikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, personal representative of the Bahraini monarch; Lt. Gen. Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, national security adviser, commander of the Royal Guard and general secretary of the Supreme Council for Defence; and Brig. Gen. Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Royal Guard special force commander. Representing Jordan were the country's Ambassador to Bahrain Rami Wreikat and Director of the Office of the Crown Prince Zaid Baqain.

Upon his arrival in Bahrain, Crown Prince Al Hussein was welcomed by Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
