Civil Defense Responds to 6,279 Incidents During Eid al-Fitr Holiday in Jordan

Amman: Jordan's Civil Defense Directorate responded to 6,279 incidents during the Eid al-Fitr holiday nationwide.

According to Jordan News Agency, the directorate announced these cases included 5,338 ambulance calls, 210 fires, and 731 rescue operations. The directorate highlighted a significant incident in the southern Marka neighborhood of the Amman governorate, where firefighters extinguished a fire in a room on the third floor of a four-story building.

The statement noted that two individuals suffered from shortness of breath during the incident. They received first aid at the scene and were subsequently transported to Al-Bashir Government Hospital for further treatment.

The directorate urged citizens to report any accidents via the emergency number (911). They also emphasized the importance of adopting proper preventive measures when using heaters, ensuring appropriate ventilation in homes, and avoiding sleeping while the heater is on.
