Amman:Southern Badia Director of Education for the Southern Badia District, Bassam Al-Sbou, has launched the "Charity Box" initiative aimed at supporting cancer patients. The initiative was introduced during a ceremony held at the directorate's building.
According to Jordan News Agency, the event also recognized participants from 10 schools involved in the campaign. Al-Husseiniya Mixed Secondary School achieved first place, followed by Al-Husseiniya Mixed Basic School in second, and Basta Secondary School for Girls in third.
The new campaign for the 2026/2027 period was announced, featuring participation from 15 schools. The focus will be on ensuring the initiative remains a continuous charity effort for everyone who has contributed to its success.
Al-Sbou highlighted the importance of the initiative in demonstrating social solidarity and enhancing community responsibility among students. He emphasized the role of educational institutions in fostering human values and promoting volunteerism, while commending the efforts of all schools and staff in realizing the campaign's objectives.
