The Cultural Attaché at the Embassy of the Republic of Yemen in Syria organized today, Monday, a meeting with Yemeni students studying at Damascus University in the Syrian Arab Republic on the occasion of the 33rd National Day of the Republic of Yemen “May 22”.
In the meeting, the Yemeni ambassador to Syria, Abdullah Ali Sabri, said, “The Yemeni unity is the unity of a homeland, people, geography, and a common history, and it remains and will continue, regardless of the challenges and crises surrounding the unity and the homeland as a result of the aggressive war and foreign conspiracies.”
He added, “Yemen historically was not strong and stable except when it was unified, and this is what the delusional tools of aggression, its mercenaries, and advocates of division and separation should understand.”
Ambassador Sabri saluted the Cultural Attaché and the Yemeni Student Union participating in the meeting, appreciating the Syrian government’s interest in Yemeni and Arab students in various universities.
For his part, the cultural advisor, Muhammad Handal, expressed his congratulations and blessings on the occasion of the 33rd National Day of the Republic of Yemen.
While the official of the Yemeni students in the Arab Socialist Baath Party, Dr. Moataz Al-Qurashi, stressed the importance of cooperation between the student unions in the Syrian universities with the cultural attaché, which will reflect positively on the performance of the students on the one hand, and their association with the just causes of the homeland on the other hand.
In the meeting, which was moderated by the President of the Yemeni Student Union at Damascus University, Dr. Omar al-Sabai, the problems and concerns of Yemeni students and ways to address them were discussed.
