Amman: The Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) has warned citizens against dealing with unlicensed entities that claim to offer loans or facilitate borrowing from banks and financial institutions, as such dealings may expose them to financial fraud.
According to Jordan News Agency, the CBJ emphasized in a statement issued on Sunday that the only safe and legitimate way to obtain financial or banking services is by directly approaching licensed banks and financial institutions, which operate under the Central Bank of Jordan’s regulations.
The CBJ urged the public to verify the legitimacy of financial institutions by referring to the official list of licensed banks and financial companies available on the Central Bank’s website.
