Amman: A spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) reported on Monday that specialized teams from the East Irbid Civil Defense Directorate were dispatched following a report of two individuals trapped by collapsing soil and rocks inside a cave in the Mansoura area of Irbid Governorate, northern Jordan.
According to Jordan News Agency, the rescue teams worked extensively to free the trapped individuals and provided them with first aid. Unfortunately, one person suffered severe injuries and was pronounced dead, while the other individual sustained minor injuries that did not require hospitalization. The deceased was subsequently transferred to Yarmouk Public Hospital. An investigation has been launched to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.
