Zarqa: Zarqa Governor Firas Abu Qaoud on Sunday visited Azraq Lodge, one of the region’s leading eco-tourism destinations. Abu Qaoud said the lodge serves as a central hub for domestic tourism, combining recreation and sustainability while supporting nature conservation and environmental awareness programs. He emphasized its role in positioning Azraq (central-eastern Jordan) as a comprehensive tourism destination.
According to Jordan News Agency, the lodge offers visitors a range of tourism programs, including guided bicycle and bus tours that explore local communities and historical sites. Guests can also experience traditional folklore that reflects the region’s rich cultural heritage.
The visit aligns with the governorate’s efforts to support tourism investments and enhance Zarqa’s appeal as an eco-tourism and cultural destination, contributing to sustainable development and local economic opportunities.
