ATU conference highlights future training, development prospects in Amman

The Arab Trainers Union (ATU), affiliated to Council of Arab Economic Unity (CAEU), on Wednesday, launched the 16th conference for human resources and training under the theme : “Future of Training and Development… Ensuring skilled and agile human resources,” to review the latest human resources practices and talent management.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony in Amman, CAEU Secretary-General, Mohamed Ahmed Al-Ni, said human development has become a” more pressing” issue, as a gateway to enter industrial revolution.

The Arab official lauded the AUT’s “distinguished” role, which has proved its efficiency, seen in its activities and multiple achievements in the training and human development fields.

For his part, Honorary President of Jordanian Trainers Society (JTS), Issa Murad, said the “remarkable” development in technology and training fields needs new, clear criteria, which would allow exchange expertise smoothly.

Murad also highlighted role of private sector’s partnership with human development stakeholders and stressed the need to endorse legislation to support development process.

Calling on paying stronger attention to persons with disabilities, he said this group suffers unemployment rate at 12%, due to their inability to work in several fields, adding that this process would develop their skills in this regard.
