ASE Turnover Reaches JD13.3 Million as Index Edges Down

Amman: The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) reported a turnover of JD13.3 million on Tuesday, with 6.8 million shares exchanged in 4,682 transactions. The trading activity saw the benchmark index dip slightly to 3,838 points, marking a 0.3 percent decrease compared to the previous session.

According to Jordan News Agency, the stock market displayed a varied sectoral performance. The financial index experienced a modest increase of 0.13 percent, and the industrial index edged up by 0.01 percent. However, the services index faced a decline, falling by 1.31 percent.

Out of the 93 companies whose shares were traded, 29 firms reported gains, while 34 companies saw their stock prices decrease.
