Amman: The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) witnessed a notable trading session on Wednesday, with the total trading value reaching JD14.2 million. On this day, 6.1 million shares changed hands across 4,374 transactions.
According to Jordan News Agency, the general share price index experienced a 0.62 percent increase, closing at 3,862 points compared to the previous session. The session saw positive performance across various sectors, with the services and financial indexes rising by 0.95% and 0.55%, respectively. The industrial sector also recorded a minor increase of 0.24%.
Out of the 98 listed companies that were traded, 47 companies saw their share prices increase, while 21 companies experienced a decline.
