Tel Aviv: Iran has reportedly launched approximately 1,000 drones into Israel since the start of their current conflict on June 13, Israeli media reported on Wednesday. The escalation in hostilities marks a significant increase in regional tensions.
According to Anadolu Agency, Israeli Channel 12 stated that fewer than 200 of these drones had reached Israeli territory. The report further noted that none of the drones succeeded in hitting their intended targets. This drone offensive comes amidst heightened military activities between the two nations.
Regional tensions have been on the rise since last Friday when Israel carried out airstrikes on various sites across Iran. These strikes targeted both military and nuclear facilities, prompting Tehran to respond with retaliatory measures. The ongoing conflict has resulted in significant casualties on both sides.
Israeli authorities have reported that at least 24 people have been killed, with hundreds more injured due to Iranian missile attacks. On the other hand, Iranian media reports indicate that 585 people have been killed and over 1,300 wounded as a result of the Israeli assaults.
