Amman: The Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army announced that the country was targeted by five missiles and a drone over a 24-hour period. The Royal Jordanian Air Force successfully intercepted and destroyed these threats, which originated from Iran.
According to Jordan News Agency, the Military Media Directorate at the General Command detailed the swift actions taken by the air force to neutralize the incoming missiles and the drone. The Public Security Directorate also reported handling 20 incidents related to falling shrapnel and projectiles during the same time frame.
A spokesperson from the Public Security Directorate revealed that a woman sustained injuries when missile shrapnel landed in her yard in central Jordan. She was treated at a hospital and released after receiving necessary medical care.
The spokesperson cautioned against approaching or tampering with suspicious objects or shrapnel due to safety risks. The public was urged to adhere to official guidance and report any suspicious findings to security services via the emergency number 911. The importance of following official instructions, relying on verified information, and avoiding the spread of rumors and misinformation was emphasized.
