Army Chief Engages with Polish Defence Minister on Military Cooperation

Warsaw: Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Huneiti met on Tuesday with Poland's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence, Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz. Huneiti and Kosiniak-Kamysz discussed strengthening military and defence cooperation and collaboration across various fields in support of shared interests and regional and international security and stability.

According to Jordan News Agency, the discussions focused on issues of mutual interest, particularly in the areas of training, exchange of expertise, counterterrorism, and defence capacity building. Both leaders expressed a commitment to enhancing the partnership between their respective armed forces.

Huneiti emphasized that the Jordanian Armed Forces is committed to expanding cooperation with the Polish Armed Forces to achieve greater coordination and integration. This commitment is seen as a vital step in enhancing the strategic capabilities of both nations.

Kosiniak-Kamysz, in turn, expressed appreciation for Jordan's role, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in promoting security and stability in the region. He praised the professionalism and efficiency of the Jordan Armed Forces, acknowledging their significant contributions to regional peace efforts.
