Jordan, Several Countries Condemn Israeli Airstrikes on Syria’s Abu Al-Duhur Airport

Amman: Foreign ministers of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, the Republic of Indonesia, the Lebanese Republic, Malaysia, the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the State of Palestine, the State of Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Federal Republic of Somalia, and the Republic of Trkiye strongly condemned Israeli airstrikes targeting the Abu Al-Duhur military airport in northwestern Syria.

According to Jordan News Agency, in a joint statement, the ministers described the attacks as a dangerous escalation and a blatant violation of the sovereignty, security, stability, and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic.

The ministers expressed concern over the continued targeting of Syrian territory and infrastructure, warning that such actions directly threaten Syria's efforts to restore security, rebuild national institutions, and address the humanitarian consequences of years of protracted conflict.

They also stressed that Israel's continued violations of Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity risk further escalating tensions, undermining regional peace and stability, and weakening respect for international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter.

The ministers called on the international community to adopt a firm, clear, and principled position in response to the ongoing aggression against Syria and to take concrete measures, in accordance with international law and the UN Charter, to halt these violations.

They further called for full respect for the 1974 Disengagement of Forces Agreement and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the areas they have occupied, to prevent further escalation and safeguard regional peace and stability.

The ministers stressed the need to respect Syria's sovereignty, security, stability, and territorial integrity, reaffirming their rejection of any attempt to undermine them.
