Dublin, Arab ambassadors to Ireland discussed the situation in Gaza in a meeting with Micheál Martin, the Tánaiste, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Defense of Ireland in the presence of top officials from the Department of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, the ambassadors underlined the necessity to achieve just and comprehensive peace that upholds the rights of the Palestinian people as the only way to ensure security and stability in the region.
The ambassadors highlighted the need for ceasing Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip, warning of the dangerous repercussions of this aggression on the Palestinian people as well as the region.
The ambassadors also warned that the Israeli practices in Gaza undermine the opportunities of achieving just and comprehensive peace in the region.
Dr. Jilan Wahba Abdalmajid, the Palestinian ambassador to Ireland, underscored the necessity of halting the aggression and taking urgent measures to lift the Gaza blockade and immediately deliver humanitarian aid, including food, fuel, and medical equipment.
She called for the international community to take effective steps to stop Israeli aggression in order to avoid disastrous humanitarian and security implications.
Deputy Saudi Ambassador to Ireland Abdulsalam bin Abdullah Al-Mushaiti participated in the meeting on behalf of the ambassador, Nayel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir.
