Amman Stock Exchange Closes Higher with JD9.7 Million Turnover

Amman: The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) recorded a total turnover of JD9.7 million on Monday, with 4.9 million shares changing hands through 3,213 contracts. The general index closed at 3,858 points, marking an increase of 0.17 percent.

According to Jordan News Agency, the industrial sector led the gains with a rise of 0.71 percent, followed by the financial sector which increased by 0.27 percent. In contrast, the services sector experienced a decline of 0.44 percent.

During the session, 94 listed companies were actively traded. Of these, the share prices of 31 companies rose, 31 saw declines, and the rest remained unchanged.
